Inheritance law and executorships

Those who arrange nothing leave the decision to the law. And often to a family dispute.

An estate without clear arrangements is the most common cause of rifts within families. I help you record your wishes in a legally secure way and guide communities of heirs to a division that lasts. Since the revision of inheritance law in 2023, the room for arrangement has grown. Make use of it.

What I take care of for you.

Estate planning

Will, inheritance contract, marital agreement, renunciation of inheritance. Tailored to your family, your assets and your company, with compulsory portions and tax consequences in mind.

Guiding the division of the estate

Inventory, valuation, equalisation among heirs, partition agreement. Moderation between the heirs so that the community is not deadlocked for years.

Executorship and disputes

Taking on mandates as executor. Representation in actions for abatement, invalidity and partition.

Typical situations

Does one of these sound familiar?

Then a short conversation is worthwhile. Often, 30 minutes are enough to see which options you have and what the next step is.

  • You want to provide for your spouse or partner better than the law does.
  • One child is to take over the family home or the company, and the siblings are to be treated fairly.
  • The community of heirs is stuck because one heir is blocking progress.
  • You have been appointed executor and do not know where to start.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about Inheritance law and executorships.

The compulsory portion of descendants was reduced from three quarters to half of the statutory inheritance entitlement, and the compulsory portion of parents was abolished. You can therefore freely dispose of a larger share of your assets. Existing wills should be checked to see whether they still achieve the intended result.
