Contract law
A good contract prevents the dispute. A bad one pays for it.
Most disputes between business partners begin with an agreement that did not foresee a particular situation. I draft and review contracts so that they work in everyday business and hold up when it matters. And if a contract has already been breached, I enforce your claims: by negotiation where possible, in court where necessary.

Drafting contracts
Purchase, works, construction, employment, mandate, partnership, lease, tenancy, loan and cooperation agreements, general terms and conditions and association bylaws. Written for your situation, without boilerplate that helps no one in a dispute.
Reviewing contracts
Before you sign: what does it really say, which risks do you bear, what can be renegotiated? A clear assessment within a useful timeframe.
Enforcing and defending claims
Breach of contract, defects, default, termination, damages. Out-of-court settlement, conciliation, litigation up to the Federal Supreme Court.
Typical situations
Does one of these sound familiar?
Then a short conversation is worthwhile. Often, 30 minutes are enough to see which options you have and what the next step is.
- The supplier keeps missing deadlines and you want to exit the contract.
- A customer does not pay and claims alleged defects.
- You are about to sign a long-term contract and want to know beforehand where the pitfalls lie.
- A partner wants to end the cooperation, but the agreement does not cover that case.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about Contract law.
In principle, yes. The Swiss Code of Obligations has no formal requirements for most contracts. The problem is proof: what was agreed must be evidenced in a dispute. That is why a written version is worthwhile for anything beyond everyday transactions.
